My name is Jugraty Ravjee. I have been a teacher for over 15 years, building great working relationships with students and helping them achieve excellent grades. I have worked at Grammar and Comprehensive schools, leading Physics and Chemistry among other roles. I am a STEM facilitator and have been an examiner for a few years. I have worked in industry as a Research Scientist and Consultant prior to becoming a teacher. This enables me to draw on real world experience in Science and bring this into my classes, thereby helping students relate what they learn in class to its application in the outside world. The Tuition Solution provides small group tuition for Maths and Science. These two subjects are extremely important in building deductive reasoning skills. A good grade in Maths and Science is a pre-requisite for many post-16 courses. Our students come from different schools across Buckinghamshire and neighbouring areas and classes are structured for specific exam boards. We have had the pleasure of seeing many of our students successfully finish GCSEs /A-Level and get into university to follow their dreams.

Having researched the effects of group learning in an academic environment, I have found that there are huge benefits to working in groups. Humans are a social species. We learn by listening, talking and mimicking. I have found that learning in a small group allows students to share their thought, ideas and questions with others. This brings about discussion, reasoning and further questioning. An ideal combination for learning!
